This comes at an inopportune time, as I feel restless of late. Will update this thread once the trial is over. It's that time of the year again when all image editing programs come out with new versions. My take is that amatuers should add this to the list of RAW processors to try out before settling down on one. Maybe better hardware will help but not an issue for a person like me who retouches precious few snaps and discards the rest. Rendering still remains pixelated for sometime after you move the controls. I am not a full time professional who needs the catalogue features of LR. Trying out controls which I might have shunned before.ġ. Silkypix addressed the biggest issue for me. Yes the help menu is actually very helpful. Sample of why it is big thing for a person like me : ![]() I have not taken any classes on post-processing. ![]() Some of the help pages even have pictures to show the differences. It is described when to use the control, how to use it, the order in which it should be used relative to other operations and when not to use it. You click it and it takes you the help page on that. ![]() My biggest pain point was the language used for naming controls and operations and the relative scarcity of tutorials on it.ġ. I am feeling strange as I write this because my previous interactions with this software (it came with both LX3 and Ricoh GR) have been painful.
